#BOOKBUCKETCHALLENGE

Why has no-one nominated me for the #bookbucketchallenge? Am itching to respond. Maybe I'm not sufficiently connected. Or appealing as a candidate. Or interesting enough. Then again, maybe the people with whom I am connected regard it as deeply trivial. And of course they would be right, but still... very soon I'll simply have to strike out on my own. The thing is, I'm having far too much time to think about it. Oh, sod it, here we go (not in any particular order):

1. The Last Frontier by Alistair MacLean
2. David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
3. Napoleon by Vincent Cronin
4. Richard II by William Shakespeare
5. The Discoverers by Daniel Daniel J. Boorstin
6. The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins
7. Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust
8. Collected Poems by T. S. Eliot
9. Emma by Jane Austen
10. War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy

And, if it counts, I'd like to nominate Miranda ArnoldThomas Arnold andJacob Mendoza Wheldon for the #bookbucketchallenge

But wait a minute! What about Smith's Gazelle and Bonfire of the Vanities and Among the Believers and Middlemarch and High Windows and Occult Philosophy in the Elizabethan Age and The Rhetoric of Fiction and The Common Pursuit and and and.... and Mrs Bratbe's August Picnic - and HAMLET fer godsake?
